Vanessa Y. Rogers is a Texas-based, award-winning storyteller, educator, and teaching artist who brings folklore to life through the power of live, participatory story. Drawing from folk traditions around the world, she uses story as a tool for meaning-making, cross-cultural understanding, and human connection.
She currently serves as a Wolf Trap teaching artist with the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts and holds leadership roles with the San Antonio Storytelling Association and the Texas Folklore Society. She is the host of Fabric of Folklore, a podcast exploring fairy tales and traditional stories through historical, cultural, and psychological lenses, and co-hosts Fairy Tale Flip with Donna Lee Fields.
As a keynote speaker, Vanessa examines how the stories we carry — family lore, folklore, and inner narrative — shape our identities, and helps audiences reweave those stories with intention. She lives in San Antonio, Texas
