We focus on two incredible women, Jane Long, nicknamed &#8220;Mother of Texas&#8221; and her contributions behind-the-scenes during the Republic of Texas&#8217;s creation, and Deborah Sampson, a woman who disguised herself as a man to fight in the elite forces in the American Revolutionary War. We also discuss the challenges faced by historical women and how the role of motherhood has changed.
